Paul Zgheib
Paul Zgheib was awarded his PhD in History from USEK (Lebanon) in 2011. Prior to that, he completed a DEA in Sacred Art at USEK in 2006, honing the skills he had acquired while earning a Diploma in Photography from EFET, Paris (France) in 1983. In 1985, he embarked on a technical workshop in Solms (Germany) covering the Leica camera system and lens manufacturing, demonstrating his dedication to the art and its technical intricacies.
Over the years, Paul has exhibited his photographic creations in Lebanon and France, highlighting his unique perspective and artistic vision. In 1998, he was awarded the Grand Prix du Mois de la Photo in Lebanon, with his works gracing the prestigious Maison Européenne de la Photo in Paris. As a published author with works at the intersection of art, culture, and history, his 2013 book, titled The Syriac Pictorial Representation of Celestial Bodies at the Boundaries of Ancient Syncretism and Eclecticism, is a testament to his scholarly pursuits.
