Rahil
Beirut - Transit Bus
Captured through the slats of a bus window, Rahil’s face is only partially visible like her place in society, always obscured,
always on the margins. In this moment, she is in transit, drifting through Beirut in search of a solution. With her baby hidden
at home with Zein, Rahil is chasing time desperately trying to secure the money she needs to pay for a forged ID.
Every glance out the window is heavy with risk. Without papers, every step outside is dangerous. But the fear in her eyes is
not for herself, it’s for her child. This image freezes the quiet urgency of survival, of a mother navigating a city that refuses to
see her, racing against a system designed to keep her invisible.
